Trois dents en quête de beauté
Three teeth as keys to beauty

Abstract
Three teeth have a special esthetic importance derived from their position in the upper jaw: the central incisor, the lateral incisor, and the canine. The position and the orientation of each of these teeth, their contours, and their facial components merit a detailed examination that takes into account the symbolic value they express. It is often necessary for practitioners to correct unattractive morphological defects in these dental units by reshaping them with selective grinding or judiciously adding composite to them because the form as well as the position and the color of these teeth contributes considerably to the esthetic value of the orthodontic treatment result.
