L'auteur propose d'accompagner l'analyse fonctionnelle clinique du système stomatognathique d'une axiographie, à l'aide d'une gouttière para-occlusale. Il compare ainsi l'occlusion centrée libre, l'occlusion centrée forcée, la relation centrée en intercuspidation maximale, et enregistre les mouvements de l'axe charnière pendant la fonction et la parafonction.
