La force extra-buccale à plateau

Résumé
La force extra-buccale à plateau est un dispositif dans lequel l'arc facial est noyé dans un « plateau » occlusal en forme de fer à cheval. L'arc facial devient alors parfaitement inoffensif. Le plateau, complété par quelques accessoires en fil d'acier permet de reculer et ingresser les incisives maxillaires et de verser distalement les molaires. Cette action est indiquée dans les malocclusions de Classe II, division I, avec diastèmes et tout particulièrement durant le recul des canines maxillaires par un dispositif segmenté.
Abstract
Headgear with horse-shoe plate
The facial arch is enbedded in an occlusal plate in the shape of a horse-shoe. By this way the facial arch becomes harmless. This plate, with accesory wires, intrudes and pushes back the maxillary incisors and tip back the molars. This action is indicated for Classe II, division I, malocclusions with diastema, especially during retractions of the canines by a segmented mechanism.
