Résumé
La conception, la réalisation et les applications cliniques du Quad Helix ont largement évolué au cours de la dernière décennie.
Des travaux récents ont permis d'isoler et de quantifier les paramètres qui déterminent son rendement mécanique.
Les résultats cliniques éminemment variables de son action orthopédique soulignent le rôle déterminant des modalités de son utilisation sur son efficacité thérapeutique.
Abstract
The whoole approach, creation and clinical applications of the well-known Quad Helix appliance have been developed during the last decade.
All the detailed conditions which modify its mechanical efficiency have been fully identified. This device really needs a special attention for its activation: orthopedic changing clinical results show the importance of this warning.
