Résumé
La digue est un dispositif essentiel dans la prévention de l'aérocontamination mais elle permet aussi en orthodontie d'éviter l'ingestion ou l'inhalation des attaches céramiques ou de leur débris tranchants lors de la dépose, de permettre le micro-sablage intra-oral sans risques d'allergie ou d'inhalation d'oxyde d'alumine, d'améliorer les collages en isolant les dents de l'humidité de la respiration du patient.
Abstract
The rubber dam is the best way to prevent aerocontamination. In orthodontics, we can also prevent ingestion of porcelain particules of the braces, prevent alumin oxyd inhalation and obtain a better bonding without moisture of patient's respiration.
