Abstract
Among the alternatives to treatment with a full bracket appliance, movement of teeth with rigid thermoformed plastic splints is a method that has been used for half a century. Even if the marketing campaign launched by Align technology® has aimed, as one of its objectives, at discrediting the traditional method of re-setting teeth by hand, this old technique can effectively respond to our requirements. To illustrate this point, we shall present a new technique for a manual set-up that allows the operator to precisely control tooth changes on the model.
