Résumé
Les appareils fonctionnels sont des dispositifs thérapeutiques qui influencent les déterminants anatomiques et fonctionnels de la matrice oro-faciale. Parmi ceux-ci, les activateurs sont des appareils fonctionnels qui induisent une position de morsure différente des positions mandibulaires habituelles.
Abstract
Functional appliances are therapeutic devices which act upon the anatomic and physiologic components of the orofacial matrix. Activators are functional appliances providing a different bite position of the mandible.
