L'évolution des techniques pré-informées depuis Andrews

Résumé

Depuis le Straight wire d'Andrews en 1970, les techniques pré-informées ont considérablement évolué : la première évolution s'est faite avec le système de Ronald Roth qui donnait au système original d'Andrews des capacités mécaniques dont il manquait fondamentalement. A la suite de Roth, pratiquement chaque école orthodontique a transcrit, à travers ses propres concepts et un jeu spécifique d'informations, une version programmée de ses besoins mécaniques. Actuellement, une exigence d'individualisation plus précise de l'information amène à définir des systèmes d'informations plurielles qui, tout en apportant une réponse aux besoins thérapeutiques mécaniques, s'intègrent davantage dans la typologie particulière du patient.

Abstract

From the 1970 Andrews's Straight wire Appliance, the pre-programed techniques have significantly evolved. The first development came with the Ronald Roth's system and gave to the Andrews's original system some mechanical abilities that was inherently lacking. Following Roth, each orthodontic school virtually transcribed, through its own concepts and a specific set of informations, a programed translation of its mechanical needs. At the moment, a requirement for a more precisely individualized information leads to define some systems of plural informations, bringing a reply to the therapeutic mechanical needs and fitting more and more into the specific typology of the patient.
