Résumé

Le phénomène de résorption radiculaire pathologique, apparaissant lors d’un traitement d’orthopédie dento-faciale, est un sujet abordé par de nombreux articles scientifiques récents. La compréhension partielle de l’étiologie multifactorielle de cet événement nous permet de proposer une systématisation des différentes attitudes thérapeutiques à adopter pour prévenir et traiter ce phénomène. Dans un premier temps, nous envisageons une évaluation du risque de résorption radiculaire en fonction de facteurs biologiques et mécaniques ; cette qualification permettant, dans un second temps, l’utilisation d’un arbre décisionnel thérapeutique.

Abstract

The phenomenon of pathological root resorption appearing during an orthodontic treatment, is a subject tackled by many recent scientific articles. Partial comprehension of the multifactorial etiology of this event, enables us to propose a systematization of the various therapeutic attitudes to adopt to prevent and treat this phenomenon Initially, we consider an evaluation of the risk of root resorption according to biological and mechanical factors. This qualification, allowing in the second time the use of a therapeutic decisional tree.
