Résumé
La canine, du fait de sa morphologie et de sa position, est une dent dont la présence sur l'arcade est fonctionnellement et esthétiquement indispensable.
Définir sa situation, ses orientations dans les trois sens de l'espace en fonction des déterminants postérieurs non modifiables du patient, est nécessaire pour assurer le fonctionnement atraumatogène et le vieillissement non pathologique du système manducateur.
Abstract
By virtue of its morphology and its position, the canine is a tooth whose presence in the dental arch is functionally and esthetically indispensable.
It is necessary to define its position and three-dimensional orientation, in keeping with the patient's unchangeable posterior situation, in order to insure that its function does not cause trauma or non-pathological aging of the masticatory system.
