Résumé
Les orthodontistes sont fréquemment en relation avec des patients présentant des algies et dysfonctionnements de l'appareil manducateur (A.D.A.M.), avant, pendant, ou après leurs traitements.
La gestion de ces pathologies est difficile car les facteurs étiologiques ou déclenchants sont nombreux et complexes.
L'évolution de la philosophie thérapeutique s'oriente vers les traitements les moins invasifs, et surtout une prise en charge pluridisciplinaire.
Des moyens simples et accessibles à tous les praticiens sont analysés, dans l'optique d'une prise en compte de tous les facteurs étiologiques.
Abstract
Orthodontists are frequently in contact with patients presenting C.M.D. before, during, or after treatment.
The management of these pathologies proves to be difficult as the etiological or activating factors are numerous and complex.
Therapeutic philosophy evolves towards less invasive treatment, and above all multidisciplinary management.
Simple methods available to all practitioners are analyzed, with the idea of taking all the etiological factors into account.
