Abstract
In this article we carry out a brief examination of the main features which portray an orthodontic adult patient, and which also differentiate him from the most typical patients, teenagers.
Despite the differences between both groups, it is possible to achieve a positive result in adult patients who present difficulties such as: previous extracted teeth, possible appearances of several occlusal planes caused by tooth extrusion, impacted teeth and so on. As example, we are going to present a patient file who has no growth any longer and who suffers from some of the most common disadvantages of adult patients; although, despite all of them a positive result was achieved.
