Abstract
The inclined plane operates by its very shape. It enables the practitioner to treat “the protruding chin” or “the retrusion” of the mandible. The wooden wedges, swollen by moisture, move the teeth individually. They compete with the screws and the springs. Multiple systems allow the expansion of the arches, from the most traditional ones to the most original ones.
