Abstract
In children, the syndrome of obstruction of the upper air and digestive pathways that leads to sleep apnea and difficulties in swallowing, can also cause neurological repercussions in stature and balance as well as serious impairment of maxillo-facial growth. An in-depth ENT examination will be of great help in the determination of etiology and the formulation of a customized treatment plan.
